Some artwork catches your eye. This painting followed me home a month later.

The dunes reminded me so much of the path to the beach at Emerald Isle that I couldn't stop thinking about it after seeing it in the gallery. The piece has a wonderful sense of place and brings back memories of walks through the dunes toward the ocean.

I was drawn to the subject matter, the scale, the beautiful framing, but most of all to the feeling it creates. It's the kind of painting that makes you pause and appreciate both the landscape and the skill it takes to capture it on canvas.

I'm thrilled to add it to our home and proud to support a local artist who celebrates the beauty of the coast so well.
